Barbara and Alan Sackman were drawn to Keyah Grande in Southwestern Colorado in the early 1980s, where they eventually acquired 4,000 acres as their western retreat. They later built a Guest House to accommodate visitors eager to take in this breathtaking environment. Designers integrated the Sackman's extensive art and furniture collection into the 15,000 square foot Guest House, where the eight guest rooms are a testament to the Sackman's most memorable journeys: Japan, Santa Fe, South Pacific, England, France, Spain, China, and, of course, America. Japan, for instance, features the subdued tones and skillful artistry of the culture of its namesake, while Spain features warm hues and rustic elegance. All guest rooms have balconies, individual artwork, whirlpool tubs, walk-in closets, in-room safes, in-room bars with ice machine and mini-refrigerator, satellite television, and wireless internet access, while both suites (Spain and South Pacific) also feature steam showers and fireplaces.

Recreational opportunities abound at Keyah Grande. Guided hikes and rides are available to two recreational cabins on the property where guests can enjoy a picnic, a game of horseshoes, and an outdoor fire ring. ATV, snowmobile, and horseback tours can be arranged (horseback lessons are also available), and fishing and shooting opportunities are plentiful. Off-site activities include golf, hot air ballooning, white water rafting, and visits to Mesa Verde National Park, Chimney Rock Archeological Site, and Wolf Creek Ski Area.

Keyah Grande's remote setting enables corporate groups to focus on the business at hand, while wireless features and Smartboard technology allow for a seamless working environment from the conference room to the outdoor deck. Teambuilding activities, including group cooking classes, shooting tournaments, and orienteering classes, can also be arranged.
